Southern City Journal

Editorial policy

Southern City Journal aims to make urban geography clear, careful and useful to general readers. We distinguish description from interpretation and correct published errors when they are identified.

Accuracy and scope

Writers should check names, definitions and factual claims against appropriate sources, and make the limits of an explanation clear. Articles are not substitutes for official information about access, construction, planning decisions or local requirements. We do not invent sources, quotations or observations.

Independence and partnerships

Editorial decisions remain separate from commercial arrangements. Any paid, supplied or otherwise partner-supported material is identified clearly where it appears. A partnership does not guarantee favourable coverage, and partners do not approve independent editorial work.

Corrections

Readers can report a possible error through the Contact page. We review the point, amend confirmed errors and make material changes clear to readers where appropriate. Minor wording edits that do not change meaning may be made without a separate notice.

Images and illustrations

Illustrations are selected to support the subject rather than stand in for evidence. Some illustrations may be AI-generated; when that is the case, they are labelled. Illustrations should not be read as documentary photographs of a specific place unless identified as such.
